Saturday Night Live UK, which launched on Sky and Now in March, is filmed at the historic Television Centre in West London. The complex, once the headquarters of BBC Television from 1960 to 2013, now hosts the show in its TC1 studio, a space also used by programmes like The Graham Norton Show and The Last Leg.
The series, helmed by original SNL creator Lorne Michaels, airs live in front of a studio audience. The 20-strong writing team uses office rooms at the venue to brainstorm sketches in the week leading up to each Saturday night broadcast.
Two episodes remain of series 1: Hannah Waddingham hosts on May 9 with musical guest Myles Smith, and Ncuti Gatwa hosts the finale on May 16 alongside Holly Humberstone. The show has already featured celebrity hosts including Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan and Nicola Coughlan, with musical acts such as Wolf Alice, Kasabian and Foo Fighters.
The UK cast includes Hammed Animashaun, Ania Magliano, Emma Sidi, Celeste Dring, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, George Fouracres, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep and Paddy Young. SNL UK airs on Sky and Now TV at 10pm on Saturdays.
