Tories Win Aberdeen South By-Election in Blow to SNP

The Conservative Party has gained Aberdeen South in a major by-election victory in Scotland, handing a significant boost to leader Kemi Badenoch. Scottish Tory MSP Douglas Lumsden won the seat from the SNP in the early hours of Friday morning.

By-Election Results

Mr Lumsden secured 14,308 votes, comfortably ahead of the SNP's Richard Thomson who received 8,258 votes. Reform UK came in third place with just over 2,000 votes.

The victory represents a major blow to the SNP and strengthens Badenoch's position as Conservative leader.
