Election Details
The election will determine 129 Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs), who will subsequently decide the next First Minister. Voters elected 73 constituency representatives and 56 additional MSPs through eight regional lists.
Party Leaders' Reactions
Following the closure of polls, leaders of Scotland's main political parties expressed gratitude to their campaigners for their efforts over the six-week campaign period.
SNP leader John Swinney highlighted his party's focus on improving the NHS, addressing the cost of living, and pursuing independence.
Scottish Labour's deputy leader Jackie Baillie championed their 'serious plan' and candidate Anas Sarwar.
