Nigel Farage unveils ‘Vote Reform. Get Starmer out’ slogan

Nigel Farage has launched Reform UK's local election slogan, 'Vote Reform. Get Starmer out', branding Sir Keir Starmer the 'most unpopular prime minister in living memory'. The party will use the mantra until voters in Wales, Scotland and parts of England go to the polls in May.

Speaking outside the Houses of Parliament on Friday, Mr Farage said: 'If we achieve anything like our potential, I do not believe Starmer will still be prime minister at the end of May.' He added that the Prime Minister is 'without doubt, the least patriotic prime minister in history'.

Reform UK has topped opinion polls in Wales alongside Plaid Cymru, where Labour has been in power since the Senedd was established in 1999. Polls also suggest Reform could take second place in Holyrood, with the SNP remaining the frontrunner.

Mr Farage defended the slogan's focus on the Prime Minister rather than policy, saying the elections are in Labour's strongest areas and that Sir Keir has 'done many things that I believe are injurious to the country'. He also highlighted Reform's record, claiming the party has 'saved a lot of money' and kept council tax rises lower than others.

Asked about Sir Keir's comments on global factors driving up bills, Mr Farage blamed the previous Conservative government's net zero legislation and Ed Miliband's refusal to change course, adding: 'A huge amount of self-inflicted harm, I would suggest the Prime Minister looks closer to home.'

Mr Farage also dismissed concerns about a competition to win free energy bills, saying the party had been cleared by the Information Commissioner's Office. Speaking in Romford, he said he was 'feeling very bullish' about the May 7 elections, though he admitted Reform UK is not yet a 'completed product ready to win the next general election'.
