Tuchel Names 26-Man England Squad for World Cup 2026

England head coach Thomas Tuchel has named his 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup, as the Three Lions aim to end a 60-year wait for a major tournament win. The squad was announced ahead of this summer's tournament, with all statistics accurate as of 9 June.

Tuchel oversaw an excellent qualifying campaign, with England becoming the first European side to win eight qualifiers without conceding a goal. However, confidence was dented by two underwhelming displays in March's friendlies against Uruguay and Japan.

The Three Lions came close under former manager Gareth Southgate, reaching the semi-finals in 2018 and finishing runners-up in the last two European Championships. This squad now carries the hopes of a nation seeking their first World Cup triumph since 1966.
