Tyson Fury's 'private' mother absent from Netflix show

Tyson Fury's mother, Amber Fury, is notably absent from the boxer's Netflix reality series 'At Home with the Furys', which returned this week with 10 new episodes. The show documents the heavyweight champion's retirement attempts and family life in Morecambe, featuring his wife Paris, their seven children, brother Tommy, and father John. However, Amber has chosen to stay out of the spotlight entirely.

Amber Fury, described as extremely private, does not appear in the series and is not mentioned by the family. Tyson previously told the Irish Mirror: 'I looked on Google the other day and there’s not one picture of my mother on the internet. That’s crazy isn’t it? She has never been to one of my boxing fights, amateur or professional and never been in the public eye at all. She’s a private person.'

In his autobiography 'Behind The Mask', Fury revealed his mother does not fully grasp his fame. He wrote: 'I took her out shopping one time after the Wilder fight and I was being stopped for photographs and autographs everywhere I went in Manchester and she couldn't understand it. I had to explain to her that I was the heavyweight champion of the world.'

John Fury, Tyson's father, appears throughout the series. John and Amber were previously married and share four children, including Tyson, Shane, and Hugh. Their daughter Ramona died shortly after birth.
