The Inbetweeners Cast: Reunion, Romances and Career Updates

The Inbetweeners is set to return to Netflix next year, sparking excitement among fans of the Noughties comedy. The revival, which could be released as a movie on the streaming service, may feature original cast members including Emily Atack, Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison.

The show, which aired three series from 2008 to 2010 on E4, spawned two films in 2011 and 2014, earning nearly £67 million at the box office. Joe Thomas, who played Simon Cooper, revealed last year that he and fellow cast members are prepared for a reunion.

Simon Bird, now 41, has remained a familiar face on screen since the show ended. He continued to star in Friday Night Dinner and later appeared in the Channel 4 series Everyone Else Burns. Bird co-created and starred in the Sky comedy Chickens in 2013 and made his West End debut in 2017. He is married to writer Lisa Owens, with whom he has two sons.

Joe Thomas, 42, secured another beloved role as Kingsley Owen in Fresh Meat after The Inbetweeners. He reunited with Simon Bird for Chickens and has since appeared in White Gold and the 2022 sci-fi comedy We Are Not Alone. Thomas has been in a relationship with actress Hannah Tointon since 2010, and the couple welcomed their first daughter in 2022.

Blake Harrison, 40, best known for playing Neil, has diversified his career with roles in Agatha Christie adaptations and a turn on Celebrity Bake Off. He also hosts a weekly podcast, The MMA Fan Show. Since the show ended, Harrison has appeared in the drama A Very English Scandal, provided voiceover work for Bob the Builder, and starred in Dad's Army and Agatha and the Truth of Murder.
