Disney+ has announced three new exclusive episodes of The Simpsons for summer 2026, including a parody of the anthology series Black Mirror. The episodes continue the show's tradition of pop culture sendups.
Double-episode 'Extreme Makeover: Homer Edition' premieres June 17. In it, Homer and Marge's date night goes wrong when Marge discovers Homer left the kids with only a doorbell camera as babysitter. A tipsy Marge imagines three different versions of Homer. Guest stars include Betty Gilpin, with musical guests Laufey and Tegan and Sara.
'Simpsley' follows on July 3, a noir-style episode where a young Marge Bouvier travels to Italy to convince Seymour Skinner to return home, but is tempted by his wealth and his houseguest Homer Simpsley. 'Yellow Mirror' arrives August 26, featuring two dark tales: a defective lamp reveals a truth about Homer's reality, and an AI tablet befriends and controls Maggie.
These episodes follow three others released on Disney+ during the 2024-25 season. The Simpsons and Family Guy began making streaming-exclusive episodes after Fox shortened its broadcast orders, with 20th Television Animation diverting surplus episodes to Disney+ and Hulu. All 37 seasons and The Simpsons Movie are available on Disney+.
