Rylan Clark was visibly emotional during a surprise reunion with his former theatre school teacher on Michael McIntyre's Big Show. The segment, titled Remember Me?, sees celebrities confronted with people from their past whom they must identify.
The presenter and TV personality was reunited with several guests, including former X Factor star Gathan Cheema. However, it was the final guest, his old teacher Yvonne, that truly moved him. As she entered, Rylan beamed and covered his face, exclaiming 'Oh my God'.
Yvonne asked if he remembered her, and Rylan confirmed with a smile, 'It's Yvonne.' She began to tear up, telling him, 'I'm so proud of you.' Rylan replied, 'Oh don't, you're going to get me going. That's crazy.' He added, 'Oh my God, I've stopped singing for so many years. Are you well?'
Yvonne, wiping away tears, said, 'I knew him when he was 12-years-old. It's a long time. I trained him.' Michael McIntyre joked about old photos showing Rylan with ginger hair. When Rylan joined her on stage, they embraced warmly. Yvonne said, 'Congratulations. You're fantastic. I'm so proud of you. Love to your mum.'
Michael commented on how proud Yvonne was, and she added, 'Who wouldn't be? He's done amazing. He's flown.' The pair then left the stage hand-in-hand, with Rylan saying, 'Come on, let's catch up!'
