Olivia Dean was overcome with emotion at the 2026 Brit Awards, held at the Co-op Live in Manchester, as she won her first ever Brit Awards. The 26-year-old singer, who recently won a Grammy for Best New Artist, took home four awards including Song of the Year and Album of the Year.
Dean, known for her hit 'Man I Need', was nominated for five awards. After winning Song of the Year with Sam Fender, she returned to the stage solo to accept her second award, expressing gratitude to her team, fans, and loved ones. 'It's not lost on me I'm lucky to have good people around me,' she said.
She later won Pop Act, admitting she never thought she'd win an award. When she secured her fourth award for Album of the Year, she screamed on stage before choking up, praising those who worked on the album. Fans took to social media to celebrate, with one writing: 'olivia dean brits sweeeeep so deserved'.
The ceremony also saw controversy when streamer and I'm A Celebrity star Angry Ginge, alongside darts champion Luke Littler, presented an award. As Ginge began speaking, the audio was cut, leading to speculation he had called London a 's***hole'. The Mirror, in attendance, confirmed this was the case.
