Noel Gallagher Details Boozy Reunion With Liam At Wembley

Noel Gallagher has revealed he and brother Liam enjoyed a nine-hour boozy reunion this weekend, watching Manchester City beat Arsenal 2-0 in the Carabao Cup Final at Wembley Stadium. The pair, who famously hugged on stage in Brazil after their final Oasis Live '25 tour concert in November, attended the match together in a hospitality box.

Speaking to talkSPORT's DriveTime, Noel said: 'Liam invited me in his box. He was on spectacular form. We celebrated hard, we were in a boozy box. On either side of us were Arsenal boxes, and let's put it this way — he was letting them know that he was there.' The brothers were joined by Noel's two sons, Liam's sons Gene and Lennon, Gene's girlfriend, and Liam's fiancée Debbie Gwyther.

A source close to the band told the Mirror that it had been 'many years' since the brothers attended a match together, adding that while it was 'noisy and lively,' they were 'both delighted with the result.' Liam, who had previously turned his back on alcohol, reportedly had a drink to soak in the atmosphere, while Noel joked: 'I was out Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I am looking my age this morning.'

The reunion marks another milestone in the brothers' relationship, which was famously strained for years before the Oasis reunion tour. The source said: 'The lure of reuniting Oasis brought Noel and Liam back together, and now football has done it again. It was only a couple of years ago that they couldn't bear to be in a room with one another.'
