Ferne McCann Vows to Date Older Men After Split from Jack Padgett

Ferne McCann broke down in tears on Tuesday's episode of First Time Mum as she emotionally split from ex Jack Padgett. The former TOWIE star, 31, and Jack, 26, parted ways in June, and their breakup was shown during the latest instalment of her ITVBe reality show.

Giving fans a candid insight into her emotional split, a crying Ferne said that Jack had ignored her text after parting ways. She said: "I still feel like I'm in a state of shock, like I text him last night saying: 'It's so weird not knowing what you're up to. Not hearing from you, not sleeping next to you.' He just read my message and didn't reply..."

Later on, Ferne revealed that she had messaged Jack again and that he hadn't replied, declaring: "He didn't even have the decency to message me back again, it made me realise I deserve better than this!"

The reality star also vowed to go for an older man next time. Talking to her best friend about what she was looking for in the future, she said: "Actually, now I know, I'm 31 this year. Sunday's going to be four, she goes to school at the end of the year. That needs to be my focus, you're not just going to be in a relationship with me, you get the love of Sunday too. What a wonderful bonus!"

Asked whether she was going to look for an "older" man, she continued: "You know what, I want a man... I'm going to change my age range. Where it used to be 23 to 28, alright, 21! Where it was a young toy boy, now... 30 to 40 just sounds so old!" Ferne then clarified she would be looking for a man between 30 to 35, joking that it was a "big deal" for her. She added: "As much as I have found these younger toy boys attractive, they are just not on my wave length. I need good conversation!"

Ferne ended the episode positively, confidently declaring: "Looking forward to moving on with my life and there's plenty more fish in the sea!"
