Former Coronation Street actress Katy Cavanagh has reinvented herself as a 'momager' for her two sons, Noah and Jacobi Jupe, both successful actors in Hollywood. Cavanagh, best known for playing Julie Carp on the ITV soap, has put her own career on hold to manage her sons' rising stardom.
The family attended the 2026 BAFTA Tea Party in Beverly Hills this weekend, following the Golden Globe nomination for the film Hamnet, in which both Noah and Jacobi appear. Cavanagh played a key role in securing Noah's part in the film, suggesting to director Chloe Zhao that he would be perfect for the role of Hamlet.
An insider revealed that Cavanagh has dedicated herself to helping her sons succeed in the industry. 'She's put everything into helping the boys have the best start in the industry,' the source said. 'She's put her own career on the back burner to help them realise their dreams.'
Noah Jupe, known for roles in A Quiet Place and Ford v Ferrari, credited his parents for his success. 'Without them, I don't think I would've chosen the same level of jobs, potentially, and I might've not been mentally the way I am right now,' he said. Jacobi echoed the sentiment, adding, 'Honestly, I don't know how I would be here if it weren't for them.'
The family has also launched a production company, with Cavanagh writing scripts, including a psychological thriller. Her husband, film producer Chris Jupe, provides logistical expertise. 'My mum's very creative. It's a very good balance of all the things,' Noah said.
