Katie Price has been photographed grinning as she jetted back to Dubai to reunite with her husband Lee Andrews, despite official travel warnings against visiting the UAE. The 47-year-old former glamour model was seen at the airport checking in a large suitcase before heading to security, marking her third trip to the UAE this year.
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office currently advises against all but essential travel to the UAE, as Dubai faces missile and drone attacks from Iran amid the ongoing Middle East conflict. Katie's decision to travel also defies concerns from family and friends over her whirlwind marriage to Lee, a self-proclaimed millionaire whose past claims have been questioned.
Katie married Lee in Dubai just weeks after announcing their engagement in January, shocking fans and family. Since then, Lee's former girlfriend Alana Percival warned Katie to 'run for the hills', revealing he had proposed to her in the same manner 16 weeks earlier. Despite this, Katie has defended her husband, insisting she has seen proof of his wealth and that he is not a conman.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Katie said: 'With Lee, it's different and that's why it works. Number one, he lives in Dubai. I want to have time for me... He hasn't met the family, hasn't met the kids, but they've been on FaceTime. I won't be introducing him to the kids yet because I want to get to know him myself. It just felt right, so why not get married?'
Lee, who has a tattoo dedicated to Katie's son Harvey despite never meeting him, recently posted videos suggesting he would travel to the UK, but has not yet done so. Instead, Katie has flown to Dubai, with Lee teasing his presence at the airport in a social media post.
