Comedian Katherine Ryan has voiced her support for Katie Price, who has been unable to contact her fourth husband, Lee Andrews, for several days. Andrews, whom Price married earlier this year after meeting him in person for the first time just days prior, reportedly told Price during a FaceTime call that he was being detained in Dubai.
Speaking on her podcast 'Telling Everybody Everything', Ryan suggested that Price may be suffering from 'rescue syndrome' due to past trauma, and that her reluctance to accept Andrews might be a scammer stems from a mix of shame and loyalty. Ryan acknowledged that Price's actions are 'sweet' but noted that she 'looks dumb to the rest of us' for not practising due diligence.
Ryan also expressed concern for Price's children, urging her to focus on her family rather than romantic calamities. The clip of Ryan's comments has garnered over 2,000 likes on Instagram, with supporters including singer Paloma Faith, who said Price needs 'a big cuddle' and to return to therapy.
Price filed a missing person report for Andrews five days after their last contact. While some have speculated the disappearance is a publicity stunt, Ryan believes Price genuinely fears Andrews may have been kidnapped.
