A fire near the US consulate in Dubai, caused by a drone strike, has been extinguished with no injuries reported, according to Dubai's media office on Tuesday. The authorities confirmed that a drone-related incident led to a limited fire, which was successfully contained by emergency teams.

Dubai's media office stated that the fire was fully extinguished about 45 minutes after the initial response, reaffirming their commitment to safety and security. A US official and Dubai's government media office told the Wall Street Journal that a drone struck the consulate's parking lot.

Video footage on social media showed black smoke rising near the consulate. Iran's state broadcaster, IRIB, reported that an Iranian drone had hit the US consulate, according to the New York Times.

This incident follows a drone strike on the US embassy in Saudi Arabia on Monday, which caused a limited fire and minor material damage. The US embassy in Kuwait also announced it would be closed until further notice.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the State Department is working to help Americans leave the Middle East, identifying charter flights, military flight options, and expanded commercial flights. He noted that in some instances, planes en route to the region were forced to turn around due to airspace closures.
