Invincible Returns With Perfect Rotten Tomatoes Score

The adult animated superhero series Invincible has returned for its fourth season on Prime Video, earning a perfect 100 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes. The show, based on Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker's graphic novels, follows Mark Grayson, a high school student who inherits superpowers from his father, the powerful superhero Omni-Man.

The first three episodes of the new season premiered on Wednesday, 18 March, to widespread acclaim. Journalist David Opie described it as “one of the all-time great comic book shows”, while fans on social media praised the opening episodes, with one writing: “The best animated show out right now is 100% Invincible.”

The voice cast includes Steven Yeun as Mark, JK Simmons as Omni-Man, and Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson. New additions for season four include Danai Gurira, Matthew Rhys, Tim Robinson, Rhea Seehorn, Rob Delaney and Ella Purnell. Both Yeun and Sterling K. Brown have received Emmy nominations for their voice performances.

Invincible has been a critical success since its debut in 2021, with a fifth season already announced. Of its 27 episodes, 11 have scored above nine out of ten on IMDb. The series is often compared to Prime Video's The Boys for its ultra-violent take on the superhero genre.
