EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has cautioned the bloc against falling into a Russian 'trap' concerning discussions about who would represent Europe in potential peace negotiations. Emphasising that talks are a collective effort, Kallas stressed that the substance of any agreement outweighs the identity of the individual negotiator.

Ukraine's parliament ratified a €90 billion loan agreement with the European Union, designed to bolster Kyiv's defence capabilities. The repayment of these interest-free loans for 2026-2027 is intended to come from frozen Russian central bank assets as war reparations.
