Next week on EastEnders, tensions escalate between the Brannings and the Mitchells as a car scam sparks accusations. Max Branning grows suspicious of Lauren after a car delivery at the lot and confides in Cindy. Despite Grant, Sam and Phil dismissing his claims, Max and Cindy go public with their suspicions about Mark. Grant shocks everyone by claiming he is behind the dodgy car scheme, leading to a confrontation where Cindy accuses him of lying and Max threatens to call the police.
Lauren tips off the Mitchells as police arrive, while Sam considers joining Grant in Portugal. Meanwhile, preparations for Vicki and Ross's wedding are underway, but Zack receives upsetting news. He offers Vicki a bracelet, which she refuses, prompting him to hint to Ross that Vicki is cheating. On the wedding day, Ross is rattled and Zack tries to persuade Vicki to leave Ross. Ross eventually realises the truth and asks if Zack was the man she slept with.
Elsewhere, tensions simmer between Eddie and Harry after Eddie criticises Gina. Ian and Elaine clear the air and agree to be friends, while Will is upset after missing a rave. Ravi returns home, and Priya hopes they can rebuild their relationship. Denise receives a call from the hospital requesting a bone marrow test, which she attends alone. Later, she is stunned to learn she has blood cancer, leaving viewers to wonder if she will confide in her loved ones.
The BBC has teased that the wedding night will be a turning point, with the Beale, Branning, Knight-Mitchell and Fox-Trueman families at the heart of the drama. Over the course of a week, the same night will be explored from different perspectives, revealing how events affect each family in the run-up to New Year. EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
