A brand new Western drama series has landed on Paramount Plus, and viewers are already hailing it as one of the best shows of 2026, claiming it is 'just as good' as the hit show Yellowstone.

Television critic Luke Ecclestone, known as Eccy, urged his followers to watch the programme, which only appeared on the streaming service a few weeks ago.
In a new TikTok video, he suggested it is destined to resonate with fans of Yellowstone, which concluded in 2024. Eccy stated: 'You do not want to miss this show because it is the best show of the year. And two of the greatest characters on television are finally back.'
The Series: Dutton Ranch
The series in question is Dutton Ranch, which has just premiered on Paramount Plus and is already generating considerable buzz. It serves as both a spin-off and continuation of Yellowstone, tracking characters Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) and Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly), who stake everything on fresh beginnings in South Texas.
They are pursuing aspirations of establishing a future distant from Yellowstone. Nevertheless, they swiftly encounter harsh new circumstances and a competing ranch determined to safeguard its empire at any cost.
Some fans have declared it is 'like Yellowstone season six', as the new series continues directly from where the finale concluded. Some Yellowstone fans have even taken to social media to praise it as 'better than Yellowstone' itself.
Eccy remarked: 'This show wastes absolutely no time getting straight into it with this new rival ranch called the Ten Petal Ranch. And some of these characters in this series you do not want to mess with.'
Critical Reception
Following the release of the series' first three episodes on Paramount Plus, the show achieved an impressive 88 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.5 out of 10 on IMDb, out of thousands of reviews.
Eccy continued: 'I am absolutely in love with it and I cannot wait to see where this goes. And I just cannot wait to see where Beth and Rip go. I cannot wait to see him fighting for what is theirs, fighting for the ranch. And trust me, this is a show everyone needs to go and see.'
