Ashley Roberts Revisits Pussycat Dolls’ Risqué Outfits Ahead of UK Tour
Ashley Roberts Tries on Pussycat Dolls’ Risqué Outfits

Ashley Roberts transported fans back in time on Thursday by trying on some of her most provocative and iconic outfits from the Pussycat Dolls archives, ahead of the group's upcoming reunion tour.

The 44-year-old singer has teamed up with Nicole Scherzinger, 47, and Kimberly Wyatt, 44, for a comeback as a trio across the UK and Europe. In preparation for her return to the stage, she filmed herself modelling old looks and performing classic dance moves.

Ashley had previously shared a video of digging the costumes out of storage and asked fans if they wanted a try-on video. After an enthusiastic response, she took to Instagram on Thursday to slip back into several racy looks, captioning it: 'dolls you asked for it, had a lil @pussycatdolls archive try on.'

Despite it being over two decades since she last wore some costumes, Ashley showed how well she has maintained her svelte figure, slipping into the pieces with ease. However, she admitted being taken aback by the skimpiness of some outfits, particularly a sparkly red bra paired with minuscule hotpants and a leather corset that cinched her tiny waist.

The radio presenter quipped: 'Wow that is not a lot of fabric! I was like did I wear these?! And no tights? I don't know about this one...' Turning around to reveal a fabric tail on the back of the shorts, she burst into giggles while twerking for the camera.

Ashley then modelled a black and white checked minidress, which she previously called 'my signature look.' 'I didn't know if I was going to get that zipped up,' she admitted, before proudly strutting up and down, declaring: 'It still fits!'

She also wore a bright red Adidas co-ord consisting of bedazzled shorts and a matching cropped jacket with her name on the back. Pulling up her hood and shimmying her hips, she showed off her chiselled abs while singing lines from 'Played,' her solo vocal debut with the group.

Ashley received a flood of compliments in the comments. Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara led the praise, writing: 'Looking good sis!' Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin also commented, quipping: 'Turn the corset around Ash! That’s the PCD style! Remember?!? But I love the second outfit, adorable!!!!'

Robin revealed she had designed all the iconic looks, even handmaking some. 'Yupppp!! All designed by yours truly, ME! And some I actually handmade, that was fun having glue all over my hands from those gorgeous rhinestones,' she said. 'And I still walk around with a needle and thread in my bag to this day! You never know when you might need your corset mended. Also, I remember saying shorter shorter shorter! Those little skirts! Ha! And trust me, I’ve been telling the costume designer today, “make everything really short” lolllllll.'

The Pussycat Dolls announced their comeback in March with their first single in six years, 'Club Song,' produced and co-written by Mike Sabath. However, this month they were forced to cancel the entire US leg of their comeback tour due to dismal ticket sales.

Ashley, Nicole, and Kimberly had originally announced a 53-date run across the UK, Europe, and North America. But in a humiliating blow, the band scrapped 33 dates in the US and Canada after poor sales left arenas 80% empty. Even after slashing ticket prices to $30, organisers had to pull the plug only a month before their first show in Palm Desert, California, on June 5.

Sharing a statement on Instagram, the band wrote: 'When we announced the PCD FOREVER Tour, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world. After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates. Our UK and European dates are still moving forward as planned, and the response has been incredible, with several shows already sold out.'

The only US date still scheduled is the trio's performance at the 2026 OUTLOUD Music Festival in West Hollywood Park on June 5. The European leg will kick off in Copenhagen in September, followed by shows in Paris, Warsaw, and the UK.

The comeback has been marred by controversy due to the exclusion of founding members Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta, and Melody Thornton. Carmit and Jessica revealed they were blindsided and never asked to participate, with Jessica calling it a 'cash grab.' Carmit described the move as 'disappointing on a personal level' but expressed pride in her role in shaping the group.
