Gwyneth Paltrow has expressed her pride after her daughter Apple Martin landed her first movie role, just weeks after graduating from Vanderbilt University. The 22-year-old will appear alongside Jude Law, Owen Wilson, and Kieran Culkin in an upcoming film directed by Nancy Meyers.
Speaking on the TODAY show, Paltrow said: 'I am really proud of her, it's really thrilling. Jude Law's in it and Owen Wilson.' Law previously starred with Paltrow in the 1999 film The Talented Mr. Ripley.
Paltrow also shared pride in her son Moses, 20, who is pursuing a music career with his band People I've Met, signed to Interscope Records. She described him as 'such a nice boy'.
When asked about advice for her children entering the entertainment industry, Paltrow said: '[I would tell them] that it's hard. It's a difficult road but it's worth pursuing if that's their absolute truth.'
The film, working title Paris Paramount, is about a group of filmmakers. Director Nancy Meyers has shared behind-the-scenes glimpses on Instagram, noting the film is shot on a Warner Bros stage that previously hosted Blade Runner, Ocean's Eleven, and Casablanca.
