Alex Polizzi, the host of Channel 5's The Hotel Inspector, has made a heartbreaking confession about the end of her marriage to ex-husband Marcus Miller. In the latest episode of the show, which aired on Thursday, March 5, Polizzi opened up to hotel owner Kathleen about the personal toll of running a hotel.
Polizzi admitted: "I opened a hotel four years ago. It signalled the end of my marriage, I almost lost my mind and it's quite hard work. And I'm a professional." The revelation came as she visited The Navigator in Sussex, a struggling seafront hotel where owner Kathleen is battling debt and property issues.
Polizzi was married to professional baker Marcus Miller in 2007 after a 12-year engagement. The couple have two children, teenagers Olga and Rocco. In 2025, Polizzi revealed she had divorced a year prior, saying she felt "bereft". She told Great British Life: "I have a 16-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son and I got divorced last year and I felt so bereft, and that everything was on my shoulders, and yet their father is still alive."
Polizzi has also spoken candidly about suffering several miscarriages after the birth of her first child, Olga. She told MailOnline in 2013: "It is just so shocking to find out that one's body lets them down in this way. Once you've had a child, it seems unusual that one couldn't have another one. You're not expecting it, and it comes as such a wallop."
