Dame Joan Collins, 89, led a procession of Dames in vintage Jaguars during the Platinum Jubilee Pageant on Sunday, marking the close of celebrations for the Queen's 70-year reign. The Hollywood icon was joined by her husband Percy Gibson, 57, in a cream vintage Jaguar, waving to crowds along The Mall.
Following behind were fashion model Twiggy, 72, and Great British Bake Off host Prue Leith, 82, both honoured by the Queen in 2019 and 2021 respectively. The motorcade, part of the pageant's second act titled 'The Time of Our Lives', featured seven Dames in total, including Dame Floella Benjamin, Dame Darcey Bussell, and Dame Zandra Rhodes.
Dame Collins wore a pale pink ensemble with a matching hat and scarf, lavender opera gloves, and a pink fascinator. She accessorised with pearls and a bright red lip. Her husband wore a light green suit over a lavender shirt and silver printed tie.
Prue Leith's appearance was cut short when her vintage Jaguar broke down and had to be pushed by stewards before being removed from the pageant. The 'Dame' section was jokingly dubbed 'hags in Jags' by Collins, as revealed by co-chair Nicholas Coleridge to the Evening Standard.
