Schools across Greater Manchester have received an outpouring of gratitude from parents for their exceptional support during the pandemic. After an article highlighting Corpus Christi RC Primary School in Chadderton, families were invited to share their appreciation, resulting in hundreds of nominations over several days.
Among those praised is Cringle Brook Primary School in Burnage, which provided certificates to parents for their resilience and sent half-term packs containing skipping ropes and screen-free activity ideas. Oak Tree Primary in Cheadle Hulme saw pupils decorate the school fence with thank-you posters for teachers and staff.
Other schools highlighted include Oasis Academy Harpur Mount, Moorside High School in Swinton, The Kingsway School, St Monica's High in Prestwich, Rivington and Blackrod High School, Russell Scott Primary, and Leigh St Peter's CE Primary School. Parents described the support as 'fantastic' and 'massive', with one mum expressing she will be 'forever grateful'.
