McGuinness Mansion Unsold After 14 Months

Paddy McGuinness has listed the Cheshire mansion he once shared with ex-wife Christine for £6.5 million, but the property has remained unsold for 14 months. Christine is reportedly 'fuming' over the asking price, believing it is deliberately inflated to prevent a sale and keep her living with him.

A source told MailOnline that the couple, who split in 2022 and finalised their divorce in October, are struggling to cohabit. Christine is said to be desperate to move out, but the overpriced house is thwarting her plans. The seven-bedroom home, which includes a gym, orangery, and kitchen diner, was bought five years ago and is now listed at two-thirds more than the purchase price, yielding a potential £4.4 million profit for Paddy.

The insider claimed: 'It is so overpriced, Paddy doesn't want to sell which seems like another tactic by him. It will never sell. It all feels a bit like Paddy wanting to control the situation and keep Christine living in the house with him for longer.' Another source previously noted that while the couple initially got on well co-parenting their three children, Christine has grown increasingly unhappy, prompting the decision to sell.

Paddy had earlier described their living arrangement as a 'really, really lovely family unit at home,' with separate bedrooms but no toxicity. However, Christine has expressed a desire for a fresh start, telling The Mirror she is 'very happily single' and looking forward to travel and new experiences. Paddy, meanwhile, has said he enjoys cooking and will have no trouble feeding himself as a bachelor.
