Mr Polanski unveiled his ambitious agenda during a warmly received address at the National Education Union's (NEU) annual conference in Brighton. Union bosses confirmed that Polanski was the sole political party leader invited to speak, citing internal polling which indicates the Greens are currently the most popular party among their teacher membership.

He condemned situations where children miss school because they cannot afford bus fares, pledging that the Greens would address these issues through policies like rent controls and renationalising water services.
