Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a stark warning that Russia is preparing for new military offensives, dismissing any notion of an imminent ceasefire. Speaking at a recent briefing, Zelenskyy emphasised that Moscow's actions indicate a continued escalation of hostilities rather than a move towards peace.
Escalating Tensions on the Frontlines
According to Zelenskyy, Russian forces are actively regrouping and reinforcing their positions, suggesting that further attacks could be imminent. "We see no signs of de-escalation," he stated. "Instead, intelligence reports show troop movements and logistical preparations that point to renewed aggression."
International Response
The Ukrainian leader called on Western allies to maintain and increase military support, stressing that delays in aid could embolden Russian advances. "This is not the time for hesitation," Zelenskyy asserted. "Our defence depends on swift and decisive action from our partners."
Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts to broker a ceasefire remain stalled, with no substantive progress reported in recent negotiations.
