Loose Women Star Gloria Hunniford's Husband Stephen Way Dies at 85

Gloria Hunniford, a panellist on ITV's Loose Women, has announced the death of her husband Stephen Way at the age of 85. The celebrity hairdresser passed away on Tuesday, August 13, after a short illness, his family confirmed via The Mirror.

In a statement, Hunniford described Way as 'a gentleman and a giant of a man' who would leave 'an enormous void' in her life and their family. She praised his kindness, generosity, and 'delightfully quirky sense of humour', adding that their 25-year marriage was 'tremendously happy'.

Way had faced multiple health issues in recent years, including a heart attack in 2004, two strokes (the second leaving him partially blind in one eye), and a fractured spine from a 2019 accident. The couple celebrated their silver wedding anniversary last year at Hever Castle in Kent, where they originally married.

Hunniford previously credited their successful relationship to 'kindness and humour' and a love of conversation. Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV1 at 12:30pm and streams on ITVX.
