Scotland's Finance Secretary Derek Mackay has said Chancellor Philip Hammond's autumn statement delivered a "Brexit bombshell", with lower economic growth, higher borrowing and rising inflation set to hit household budgets.
Speaking to BBC Scotland's political editor Brian Taylor, Mr Mackay said the statement revealed "lower economic growth, lower revenues as a consequence, higher borrowing and higher inflation" that would affect the economy generally and household finances.
The Finance Secretary also expressed dismay that no new funding was announced for the NHS and that no reassurances were given about the UK's relationship with the European single market.
Mr Mackay's comments come as the government faces scrutiny over the economic impact of Brexit, with the autumn statement setting out the fiscal outlook for the coming years.
