Carlotta Gagna, founder of Linfodrenante and Traininpink, has shared the simple rituals behind her radically natural approach to health, beauty and longevity. Her day starts at 5.30am, every day, with no lie-ins, which she says is the most powerful thing she does for her circadian rhythm.
Morning rituals and natural beauty
She sleeps on an Eight Sleep mattress that cools the bed through the night. Before getting up, she massages her own face with a full lymphatic drainage sequence, focusing on the fascia and nasolabial folds. She says she has fewer lines now, at 34, than she did at 28. She applies beef tallow to her face, which gives her the occasional breakout, but she knows exactly what she is putting on her skin.
Gagna has not used shampoo in three years. She washes her hair with a single homemade bottle containing apple cider vinegar and one secret natural ingredient. She says people constantly ask what the secret to her hair is, expecting a luxury brand, when the answer is in her kitchen cupboard.
Supplements, diet and movement
Her supplement protocol is radically complex and shifts constantly with her bloodwork and body's needs, tracked in a detailed spreadsheet. First thing, she usually takes copper. Her morning continues with a walk on the beach with her husband Matteo and their Weimaraner, Chloe, stopping for tea on the sand to talk through the business. She then spends a few minutes on the treadmill to get the bowels moving, followed by her Pilates Linfodrenante session, sauna, breakfast and journaling.
Her diet is shaped by histamine intolerance, which she says drives bloating, headaches, skin flare-ups and a heavy, inflamed feeling. She could not live without coconut and vanilla gelatine, which she eats by the bowlful. On fasting, she concludes that extremes do not work, especially for women and hormones, and keeps her window between 12 and 16 hours, currently around 12 to 14.
Data, tech and evening wind-down
Her movement is ruthlessly scheduled. She trains every morning to rehearse what she is about to film, and on a shoot day records up to six follow-along sessions back to back. She hits at least 5 km before reaching the office. She wears an Oura ring, but values data from full bloodwork and MRI scans, which she feeds into Claude to refine what her body needs. She calls a dry brush the most underrated piece of tech, used correctly towards the heart.
She takes the opposite approach to extreme biohacking, being radically food-first and natural, with no nootropics, medicines or peptides. She relates to the natural approach of Chris Masterjohn and Chris Mirabile, founder of Novos, and follows Bryan Johnson, a devoted customer of his oil, though she does not share his hardcore biohacking philosophy. Red glasses go on in bed, and Normatec boots on her legs. Magnesium is a constant supplement, and a few minutes of lymphatic breathing before bed drops her heart rate and shifts her into rest.
