The Lanarkshire Association for Mental Health (LAMH) has announced the closure of its Wishaw Wellbeing Class Programme, describing it as a "difficult decision".
The programme was based in the old Classic Cinema on Wishaw's Kirk Road, a grade C listed building.
Charity statement
In a statement, LAMH said: "This has not been an easy decision. We know how much these classes have meant to so many people over the years and we are incredibly proud of everything that has been achieved together."
"From creative workshops and social groups to moments of friendship, confidence and support, the programme has created countless positive memories and connections within our community."
The charity thanked attendees, volunteers, supporters and tutors, saying: "Your enthusiasm, kindness and commitment have helped shape something truly special."
Previous closure
In 2024, LAMH closed its Food For Thought Cafe due to rising costs. The organisation continues to deliver a wide range of services throughout the community.
LAMH added: "We would like to thank everyone who created an incredible sense of community. We hope those friendships and connections continue."
