A woman has shared how her dying father experienced a vision of hell, an event that profoundly changed her life. The man, a lifelong alcoholic, saw flames and demonic creatures in his hospital room, leading him to renounce his addiction and embrace faith before his death.
The Terrifying Vision
Posting on social media under the username DaughterofChrist1011, the woman explained that her father had been a "great" parent until she turned seven, when he became a "mean alcoholic." Despite multiple attempts to quit, his drinking worsened, eventually causing cirrhosis of the liver. Weeks before his death, while hospitalized, he refused medication and began screaming in terror.
She recalled: "I walked in to see him, and he was literally screaming and begging me to leave the room. He said, 'Do you not see that the walls are on fire? You're gonna burn, you got to get out of here.' He described gnashing of teeth and a smell so bad it made him sick. He kept asking if I could smell it or see the animals with teeth several inches long, warning that they would kill me."
A Change of Heart
The woman believes her father was having a vision of hell to open his eyes, as he had been a non-believer. Although he had taken the family to church and sung there, she doubted he ever truly believed in God. "I will never forget that day in the hospital. It has stuck with me all my life," she said.
In his final days at a hospice, her father expressed a desire to become a believer and accept Jesus. Her uncle, a preacher, prayed with him. She described a sudden peace in the room: "There was a peace that came over that room, and for the first time I truly cried my hardest, because I knew he accepted Jesus. I could feel the peace."
The Final Moment
Shortly before his death, her father was awake and looking at the end of his bed. The room was dark except for the television. He asked, "Do you not see that bright light? There's my mama." He saw his mother and a bright, beautiful light. He then closed his eyes and took his last breath five minutes later.
The woman urged others to seek help for addictions: "My dad could have been so much. He used to be a model before alcohol ruined his life. Get your hearts right, quit the addictions the best way you know how. Get help, it's not worth it. Your life is precious."
