Dedicated eye creams are essential because the skin around the eyes is the thinnest on the body, with fewer oil glands and less collagen than the rest of the face, according to Dr Ahmed El Muntasar, GP and founder of The Aesthetics Doctor clinic in Mayfair. It combines cell-renewing retinol for grey darkness, anti-pigmentation niacinamide for brown, calming resveratrol for redness, and a microcirculation-boosting active called proxygen for purple-blue shadows. After two weeks, brighter, less lined and more even colour under the eyes was visible. The metal applicator gives an extra cooling, depuffing benefit, especially if kept in the fridge overnight.
