Man Served His Amputated Foot as Tacos to Friends After Motorcycle Accident
Man served his amputated foot as tacos to friends

In a story that pushes the boundaries of human behaviour, a man from Texas orchestrated a dinner party with a macabre centrepiece: his own amputated foot, cooked and served as tacos to his closest friends.

The Freak Accident and Amputation

The chain of events began in June 2016, when the man, known pseudonymously as 'Shiny', was involved in a severe motorcycle accident. He was hit by a car and thrown into a forest in Texas, an impact that left his foot shattered beyond repair.

Following the horrific collision, Shiny was rushed into surgery where doctors made the decision to formally amputate the limb. In a unusual turn of events, he successfully convinced the surgeons to let him keep his severed foot, a request that is rarely granted.

The Bizarre Dinner Party

Just three weeks later, on July 10, 2016, Shiny hosted a brunch for ten of his best friends. While the spread included comforting classics like apple strudel and chocolate cake, the main event was far from ordinary.

The man had prepared his own foot, cutting the flesh into 2cm by 2cm chunks, which were then fried and seasoned. The meat was served as the primary filling for fajita tacos, with twelve tacos prepared in total for the gathering.

Shiny later recounted the moment the tacos were served, describing a palpable awkwardness that filled the room. After a chilling 'cheers', his friends began to tentatively eat the bizarre meal.

The Chewy Reality of Cannibalism

The dinner party guests were reportedly chewing on the human flesh for three to four minutes due to its incredible toughness. Shiny noted that while the meat was 'tasty', it was 'incredibly, incredibly chewy'.

One friend allegedly had to spit out her mouthful, with Shiny speculating she had gotten a piece of pure tendon that was impossible to chew. Despite the initial hesitation, the group ultimately participated in what Shiny described as a 'pleasure to share myself with them.'

The man first shared this story on Reddit in 2018, two years after the incident, and later provided more detail on Julian Morgans' What Was It Like podcast.

While there is no federal law against cannibalism in the United States (except in Idaho), laws against murder and the sale of human meat make such acts exceptionally rare and difficult to accomplish legally.
