A laminectomy is a surgical procedure that removes part of the vertebral bone called the lamina to alleviate pressure on the spinal cord or nerves. It’s often performed to treat conditions like spinal stenosis or severe herniated discs.

Schumer assured fans that the surgery was successful and she is now focused on recovery. "I’m on the mend and grateful for the incredible medical team who took care of me," she added.
