Reality television personality Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace has revealed a terrifying brush with death after using a fake weight loss injection she purchased online. The former Big Brother star was found in a coma-like state by a friend and rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.
The 45-year-old confessed to sourcing what she believed was a weight loss medication, similar to the popular drug Ozempic, from an unregulated online supplier. The injection prompted a severe and immediate adverse reaction, causing her to lose consciousness.
"I could have died," Horgan-Wallace stated starkly, describing the incident as a wake-up call. "My friend found me comatose on the bed. I was completely out of it. I had injected this fake pen and my body just shut down."
She was urgently transported to a medical facility where doctors worked to stabilise her condition. The experience has left her traumatised and determined to warn others of the potentially lethal dangers of buying prescription medications without proper oversight.
A Grave Warning Against Online Medications
Horgan-Wallace is now using her platform to speak out against the burgeoning black market for weight loss drugs. She emphasised that her goal is to prevent others from making the same near-fatal mistake.
"I want to warn people, do not buy these pens online. You do not know what is in them," she urged. "It's not worth risking your life. If I can save one person from going through what I went through, then telling my story is worth it."
Her story highlights a growing public health concern, as demand for weight-loss jabs like Ozempic and Saxenda skyrockets, creating a fertile ground for counterfeit and dangerously adulterated products to flood the online marketplace.
