Woman Killed in Multiple Hit-and-Run in South London

A woman has died after being struck by a lorry and then hit by three more vehicles in a suspected multiple hit-and-run in Tulse Hill, south London, police have said.

The incident occurred at a pedestrian crossing just after 6.45am on Monday. The woman, believed to be in her late 20s or early 30s, was initially hit by a lorry, then by another lorry and two cars. None of the drivers stopped at the scene.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended and treated the woman, but she was pronounced dead at approximately 7.20am. Formal identification has not yet taken place, and officers are working to trace her next of kin.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police's Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating. Acting Detective Sergeant Alastair Middleton appealed for witnesses and urged the drivers of all four vehicles to come forward.
