Marks and Spencer has launched two new snack pots this summer that are perfect for a refreshing and hydrating snack on the go. The new cucumber pots come with a mouth-watering dressing that you shake and tuck into, making them an ideal choice when you need a little boost but aren't hungry enough for a full meal.
Low-Calorie and Hydrating
Cucumbers are incredibly healthy and hydrating, with just 15 calories per 100g. According to BUPA UK, they are composed of roughly 95% to 96% water, the highest water content of any solid food. Additionally, cucumbers contain vital electrolytes such as potassium and magnesium, which help maintain fluid balance.
The two available flavours are The Big Dill Shake-A-Cucumber and Feeling Spicy Shake-A-Cucumber. The dill variety features fresh cucumber slices served with a dill and gherkin cream cheese dressing for a cool, savoury flavour. The spicy option pairs crisp cucumber slices with a spicy sesame miso mayonnaise for a warming, savoury kick.
How to Enjoy
Simply pour the sauce over the cucumber, replace the lid, give it a good shake, and you're ready to enjoy the cucumber slices. The dressing is kept separate to help the cucumber stay crisp.
Food influencer Eloise Head tried both flavours and shared her thoughts. She gave the dill variety an 8/10, describing it as "really tangy, really refreshing and creamy." She praised the convenience, saying "if you're out and you want a refreshing summery snack," it's perfect. The spicy option she rated 7.5/10, noting the "sesame taste is quite strong" but admitting she didn't like the flavour as much.
Customer Reactions
In comments, one person remarked they were "really nice," but wouldn't "buy them all the time." Another customer complained about the lack of forks, saying "The bit that bugs me is that they don't provide forks. How would I eat that out and about?" However, a third highlighted that "usually have forks at the checkout" that you can collect to enjoy them while on the move.
