Lidl shoppers can pick up a new Chrysanthemum Pot for just £1.99 from Sunday 11 October 2026, offering a budget-friendly way to "add a splash of colour to indoor spaces" this autumn. The plant, part of the supermarket's 'Middle of Lidl Aisle', will be available at all 1,000+ branches this weekend.
Product Details and Availability
The Chrysanthemum Pot is marketed as an indoor plant and comes in four colours: pink, yellow, red and white. It features a green flower pot with blooms suitable for windowsills, side tables, living rooms, kitchens, dining areas, bedrooms and bathrooms. The pot has a diameter of 12cm and stands between 25 and 31cm tall.
Chrysanthemums are known for their daisy-like blooms in hues including yellow, white, pink, red and orange, and typically flower from September to November in the UK. The product is only available for in-store collection, not delivery, so customers should check stock at their nearest Lidl via the online store finder.
Comparison with Costlier Alternatives
The Lidl offering is significantly cheaper than similar products elsewhere. The Horti House sells the Chrysanthemum 14cm Double Flower Mixed Colours for £20, while B&Q stocks the Mixed Chrysanthemum 'Zembla' Pot for £24.99. The Lidl pot is about 10 times less expensive than The Horti House version.
A product description from The Horti House reads: "One of the nations favourite indoor flowering plants, the humble Chrysanthemum has been made much more exciting in recent years by new varieties, double flowers, blooms and fireworks." These UK-grown plants arrive in a 14cm pot and reach heights of up to 40cm.
A B&Q spokesperson said: "Bring a cheerful burst of colour into your home with this mixed Chrysanthemum, presented in a generous 17cm pot. Known for its plentiful daisy-like blooms and naturally bushy shape, it creates an inviting display on windowsills, side tables, shelves and hallway consoles. Arriving at an attractive flowering stage, this chrysanthemum is ready to enjoy straight away and makes a thoughtful gift for birthdays, thank-you gestures or simply brightening someone's day."
For care, the B&Q spokesperson advised: "Place it in a bright position indoors, away from harsh midday sunlight, and water when the surface of the compost begins to feel dry. With its colourful flowers and compact, full appearance, it is an easy way to add seasonal charm and a lively finishing touch to your interior."
