Emmerdale's Thea plots new revenge on Kim Tate by being nice

Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge) has changed tactics in her ongoing feud with biological mum Kim Tate (Claire King) in Emmerdale. After weeks of plotting revenge, she now plans to destroy Kim in a way she never sees coming – by being nice.

Her latest scheme follows a brief thaw in hostilities. A moment with Kim at a graveside helped Thea see a softer side, and she even considered coming clean about her identity. That idea evaporated when she overheard Kim flippantly telling Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) that baby Tate was being packed off to social services without a second thought.

New plan takes shape

Furious, Thea abandoned any thoughts of reunion and switched to revenge plan B. She catches Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) drink driving and has a standoff with him before he can harm himself. After winning that fight, she takes Joe home, where a grateful Kim thanks Thea for her help – all part of the plan.

Kim is later pulled over by police, and Thea arrives to rescue her, telling officers to let her go. Kim drives away overwhelmed with gratitude, but one police officer senses something amiss and asks Thea if Kim getting off is what she wanted. Thea smirks – all part of the plan.

Serena's concern

Thea then explains her scheme to Serena Sugden (Casey Al Shaqsy), revealing she wants Kim to think she has her back before delivering part 2 of the plan. Serena worries Thea is getting dark with her revenge and fears it will all end in tears.

The question remains whether Serena can stop Thea and what her next move for Kim will be.
