Chantel, the winner of Channel 4's Your Song, reunited with her co-stars at Arts Bar Baltic in Liverpool on Sunday evening. The 46-year-old Scouser, who lives in the Knowledge Quarter, triumphed on the first ever series of the show, produced by the makers of The Piano.
Reunion Celebrates Chantel's Victory and Musical Talent
The evening celebrated Chantel's win and served as a celebration of music and the performers themselves. Chantel invited the other finalists, as well as contestants from Liverpool who took part in the show. The group performed at the Arts Bar Baltic, with the ECHO in attendance to capture photos of the special reunion.
Presented by Alison Hammond, Your Song gave amateur singers the chance to showcase their talents on TV. The production travelled across the country in search of one standout vocalist, with advice from mentors Sam Ryder and Paloma Faith.
Chantel's Winning Performance
The singers were blown away by the talent in Liverpool, inviting both Chantel and Elliot, 17, from Crosby, to perform in the final at Hackney Empire. In the end, it was Chantel's incredible rendition of Gladys Knight and The Pips' 1970s hit "Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me" which led her to being awarded the "Special Performance of the Night."
Your Song aired in May 2026, but two months on, Chantel arranged this reunion for the cast in Liverpool. The event highlighted the strong connections formed during the competition.
