Netflix has confirmed that the third season of its romantic drama My Life With the Walter Boys will premiere on Thursday, August 6, and has released several first-look images from the upcoming episodes. The series, based on Ali Novak's 2014 novel, follows teenager Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez) as she moves to Silver Falls, Colorado, after her family dies in a car accident, and becomes entangled in a love triangle with brothers Cole (Noah LaLonde) and Alex (Ashby Gentry).
Season 2 Cliffhanger Sets Up Season 3
Season 2 ended with Cole and Jackie finally confessing their feelings for each other, unaware that Alex was eavesdropping. Simultaneously, their father George (Marc Blucas) was rushed to the hospital. The new season will address these revelations, with showrunner Melanie Halsall describing the premiere as "emotional." She added, "A lot of this season, more than other seasons, is about growing up, maturing, and stepping up."
Cole and Alex Confrontation Teased
One of the first-look images shows Cole and Alex facing off, suggesting a long-overdue confrontation. Actor Ashby Gentry teased to Tudum: "Everyone's reality has shattered a little bit, and they're picking up the pieces of that and trying to put it back together again." Noah LaLonde, who plays Cole, noted that the brothers genuinely care for each other, saying, "That's been at the heart of all of this for three seasons now. It kind of cuts through a lot of the BS."
Season 4 Already in Development
Netflix had greenlit Season 3 before Season 2 aired, and last month confirmed that a fourth season is in development for release next year. The upcoming third season will consist of 10 episodes.
Returning Cast Members
The new season will see the return of series regulars including matriarch Katherine (Sarah Rafferty), Cole's former girlfriend Erin (Alisha Newton), his twin brother Danny (Connor Stanhope), and Jackie's close friend Skylar (Jaylan Evans).
