Prime Video is bringing Stephen King's debut novel Carrie to the small screen for the first time as an eight-episode series. The adaptation, created by Mike Flanagan of The Haunting of Hill House fame, stars Summer Howell in the titular role.
Plot and Setting
Originally published in 1974, Carrie follows a misfit high-schooler who has spent her life hidden away with her fiercely protective mother. After her father's sudden death, Carrie is thrust into public high school, where she faces a viral bullying scandal and the awakening of mysterious telekinetic powers.
