Television presenter Stacey Solomon has given her Instagram followers a glimpse into her recent festive family gathering, highlighting the strikingly different fashion choices she and her sister Jemma made for their Christmas lunch.
A Tale of Two Christmas Outfits
The 36-year-old Sort Your Life Out star described her own ensemble as the 'most comfy outfit' she owns, showcasing a practical combination of a zipped hoodie, black leggings, and an animal-print quilted coat to her 6.1 million followers.
Meanwhile, her entrepreneur sister Jemma, 37, opted for what Stacey called 'full Xmas glam' with a considerably more dressed-up look. Jemma turned heads in a classy white turtleneck minidress that showed off her legs, paired with stylish knee-high boots.
Sharing side-by-side photos of their contrasting styles, Stacey wrote: 'Off to a Christmas lunch & me & my sister have gone very different looks. I've gone for my most comfy outfit I own.' In a separate caption accompanying her sister's photo, she added: 'My sister however has gone full Xmas glam & looks sooo cute.'
Lavish Festive Decor at Pickle Cottage
The sisterly style revelation comes as Stacey has been pulling out all the stops with Christmas decorations at her £1.2 million Essex home, known as Pickle Cottage.
Earlier this week, the TV host treated her followers to a tour of her lavishly decorated property, revealing she has splashed out on three spectacular Christmas trees, each with its own distinct theme.
In her lounge, Stacey showcased a huge red-themed Christmas tree featuring giant £70 artificial flowers, red ribbons, roses, and berries. She admitted the flowers were 'expensive' but defended them as an 'investment', telling followers: 'I will share the link to the flowers but don't judge the price. I think they will be a good investment.'
The same room features a second, £80 red paper Christmas tree with a garland and bow displayed on her bookshelves. For her third tree, Stacey chose a white theme, again using the £70 artificial flowers along with glittering lights and pine cones.
Creating a festive corner next to her tree, Stacey revealed she purchased a giant reindeer that her youngest daughter Rose, two, has particularly enjoyed. Elsewhere in Pickle Cottage, she draped pretty garlands over the fireplace and crafted a giant red bow to complete the festive transformation.
Family Life and Addressing the Trolls
Stacey shares her Essex home with husband Joe Swash and their three children together - Rex, six, Rose, four, and Belle. Her older children from previous relationships, Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 13, also live at the property.
The festive celebrations come after Stacey recently addressed criticism about her use of affiliate links on Instagram. The mum-of-five emotionally confronted trolls who had complained about her posting links to products, including cosmetics, alongside her regular content.
In a heartfelt clip, Stacey explained that she actually earns less from affiliate links than from brand advertisements, but uses them to help followers find products they ask about. She questioned whether the practice 'really upset people' and considered stopping if it genuinely offended her audience, though she noted it helps her direct followers to items with the best stock availability and pricing.
Stacey concluded that despite the criticism coming from just 'a couple of trolls', their comments had affected her, leaving her wondering 'maybe people just hate this'.
