St Mary’s Episcopal Church in Hamilton will hold a special summer concert this Saturday, June 27, at 4pm on Auchingramont Road. The event will feature the Choirs of St Mary’s joined by two outstanding singers from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland: baritone Findlay Peters and tenor Rowan Gillard.
Programme and Performers
The concert will include an afternoon of music by Percy Grainger, including his most popular composition 'Country Gardens' and music from the film Howard’s End. Additional arrangements of folk songs will be performed, along with works by Weelkes and Wesley. Completing the line-up are local organist and pianist Jonathan Smith, a graduate of Glasgow University, and conductor David Hamilton.
Admission Details
Admission to the concert is by donation programme, with options at £7, £5, and £1. The event begins at 4pm and promises something for everyone.
