Coronation Street has revealed the moment Sarah Platt confesses to the murder of Theo Silverton, putting an end to Kit Green's proposal. In a new spoiler video, Kit orchestrates a romantic lunch and drops to one knee to ask Sarah to marry him, but she breaks down and admits she killed Theo.
Background of the Murder
Viewers have known for weeks that Sarah was responsible for Theo's death, which occurred in April. Theo's body was found by Betsy Swain on the night of her mother Lisa Swain's wedding to Carla Connor. Theo was confirmed as one of five potential murder victims in a flashforward episode, alongside Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, Megan Walsh, and Maggie Driscoll.
After the wedding aired, it was revealed that Theo was the victim. A murder investigation ensued, with suspects including Todd, George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, Gary Windass, and Danielle Silverton. In June, viewers saw the truth, and Sarah later confessed to Todd, while Kit remained determined to pin the murder on Todd.

Actress Tina O'Brien, who plays Sarah, expressed concern for her character if she goes to prison, saying, 'I would be very worried for her. She might appear to be a soft touch to hard criminals, and I worry she’d get into problems in there—especially if they found out she had a partner who was a police officer.'
