Rosamund Pike will star in 'Inter Alia', a new play by Suzie Miller, which will be broadcast to cinemas worldwide through the National Theatre Live programme. The production runs at the National Theatre's Lyttelton theatre from July 10 to September 13.
Pike, Oscar-nominated for 'Gone Girl' and recently seen in 'Saltburn', plays Jessica Parks, a London Crown Court judge who balances her professional duties with family life. The play explores how an unexpected event threatens her carefully calibrated existence.
'Inter Alia' reunites writer Suzie Miller and director Justin Martin, who previously collaborated on the hit 'Prima Facie' starring Jodie Comer. Jamie Glover and Jasper Talbot join Pike in her National Theatre debut.
The live cinema broadcast in the UK is scheduled for September 4, with global screenings beginning September 25. Miller expressed excitement about reaching wider audiences, noting that 'Prima Facie' was seen by 1.4 million people on the big screen.
Additionally, National Theatre Live will re-release Benedict Andrews' 2014 production of 'A Streetcar Named Desire' starring Gillian Anderson, Vanessa Kirby, and Ben Foster, starting June 5.
