Nicole Kidman Sends First Public Message to Keith Urban After Split
Nicole Kidman Acknowledges Keith Urban Publicly After Split

Nicole Kidman has publicly acknowledged Keith Urban for the first time since their split, marking Father's Day with a heartfelt social media post. The 59-year-old actress, who finalized her divorce from the 58-year-old musician in January after nearly two decades of marriage, shared a set of black-and-white family photographs on Instagram.

In the caption, Kidman wrote: "Happy Father's Day to all the fathers." The first image showed a young Kidman with her late father, while the second featured Urban with their two daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 15. Kidman also has two older children, Bella, 33, and Connor, 31, from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.

Keith Urban's Birthday Tribute

Just a day earlier, Urban made his own public acknowledgment of his estranged wife, posting: "Happy birthday Nicole Mary," adding her middle name as a personal touch. The pair have largely remained out of the public eye together since their separation was reported in September 2025.

According to sources, the couple drifted apart due to demanding careers and a lack of intimacy. A source previously told media: "Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming or he is on tour. There was a lot of love between the two and they might not divorce. They’ve been together for decades, so there is a world in which they can reconcile, but the way their pairing is now, they are not a couple."

Divorce Settlement Details

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Kidman and Urban had reached a swift settlement, agreeing to split their property empire valued at approximately $282 million (roughly £210 million). The proceedings were finalized in a Nashville court. Under the terms, Kidman will have primary custody of the couple's daughters, with the children spending 306 days with her and 59 days with Urban—equivalent to every other weekend. No monthly child support or spousal support will be paid by either party.

The couple's decision to split after 19 years of marriage was first reported in September 2025. Public tension became evident in July 2025 when Urban abruptly ended a radio interview after being asked about Kidman's on-screen romance with Zac Efron in the film A Family Affair. During a Zoom interview with Australia's Mix 102.3, host Max Burford asked Urban what he thought when seeing his wife with younger co-stars. The connection went silent, and a background voice confirmed: "He's disconnected from Zoom."
