Mollie Gallagher Stars in Silence of the Lambs Stage Play

Mollie Gallagher, best known for her role as Nina Lucas on Coronation Street, has landed a major stage role in a production of The Silence of the Lambs. The actor will play FBI agent Clarice Starling, a part made famous by Jodie Foster in the 1991 film. The production will tour the UK starting in August.

Star-Studded Cast Announced

Gallagher will be joined by former EastEnders star Johnny Partridge, who will play the iconic cannibalistic serial killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Partridge is best known for his role as Christian Clarke on the BBC soap. Oliver Farnworth, who played serial killer John Sugden on Emmerdale, will portray Jack Crawford, Clarice's mentor. Sam Jackson, known for his role in Channel 4's Skins, will play Buffalo Bill, the murderer Clarice is determined to catch.

Gallagher's Coronation Street Exit

Gallagher announced her departure from Coronation Street earlier this year after seven years on the show. Her character Nina Lucas first appeared in 2019 as the long-lost niece of Roy Cropper. Nina quickly became a fan favourite, known for her gothic style and kind heart. She was involved in a harrowing storyline inspired by the real-life murder of Sophie Lancaster, where she and her boyfriend Seb Franklin were attacked by a gang due to her appearance.
